Richard and Immaculée Heddden

Immaculée survived the Rwandan genocide of 1994 against the most incredible odds and with the testimony that God made a way for her in a seemly impossible situation. Her book Under His Mighty Hand details the powerful story of what happened to her. Richard grew up in the south east of England and after a powerful and sovereign experience of the Lord came to faith in 1988. He has served in full-time Christian work since joining YWAM in 1992, but also served in the UK office of Derek Prince Ministries for four years. At the YWAM campus in Harpenden they have both received training and helped to train others in various aspects of missions, but with a particular emphasis on forgiveness and reconciliation. They have a heart to care for the widow and the orphan which is expressed through their being UK co-ordinators of the Rwandan Orphans Project Let the Little Children Come to Me. Both Immaculee and Richard are trained in freedom prayer ministry. They are also qualified counsellors, having received a diploma in integrative counselling in 2014.
